On a visit to Paris, there’s one thing for certain. You’re not going to be short of places to eat croissants and sip coffee…

If you’re looking for somewhere truly special though, I suggest you head over to Saint Germain-des-Pres to a little corner restaurant named Café de Flore.

Now you may have heard of, or at least recognise this place. It’s pretty famous and has featured in a number of movies and TV shows (includingAbFab!). Set amongst the leafy, wide streets of Saint Germain-des-Pres (the Parisian equivalent of London’s Chelsea), you’ll find this beautiful, ivy-clad café; its terrace filled with fashionably dressed couples chattering away over their cappuccinos and croque monsieurs.

Café de Flore was once a meeting place for Paris’ elite, including philosophers like Jean-Paul Sartre and Simone de Beauvoir, and artists such as Picasso. It’s now more of a hotspot for tourists…
