Being a tourist

This Life Worth Living

Landing in a new country, full of anticipation and excitement we headed through the formalities and quickly found ourselves at the car hire company depot. After wrangling another few hundred Euros out of us we jumped into the car ready to take off.

Small problem…no GPS. I had cleverly screenshot the directions from the airport to the hotel but we were no longer at the airport and we were now in the small streets of Lisbon 10 minutes from the airport. We drove, barely making it into 3rd gear as we wrangled the left hand drive, city traffic and relearnt how to drive a manual car.
